Deliverable #8

Deliverable #8 project manager: Megan Schottanes

The table below illustrates LEMM Solutions’ Risk Analysis/Plan for the WSOS for Worldwide Sports. It is very important for any project, especially an IT project, to have a solution or an action plan for any risks that might affect the project. You cannot avoid all risks so analyzing any possible risks and making an action plan for when/if the risk arises, is very important to keep the budget, schedule, and scope in accordance to the baseline plan and requirements matching the MOV. None of our risks in the table are known risks, this is because it is possible, but very unlikely, that all of these risks could not happen.

Risk Analysis/Plan Table

1
Prolonged Schedule
Execute and Control
Project Manager, sponsor
This is a known-unknown. The source will be mostly internal, but possibly external also. This risk emerges from People, Process, Organization, Technology, Environment, Legal, and Products. This will impact scope and budget as well.
We will have sponsors sign-off on all milestones and deliverables. Audits from external sources and reviews from internal sources will also be helpful.
2
Going over on Budget
Execute and Control
Project Manager, Analyst
This is a known-unknown. The source will most likely be internal. This risk could emerge from all aspects of the project. It will impact schedule as well as the budget.
We will compare actual costs with the baseline plan throughout the course of the project to make sure there is not any variance.
3
Scope does not support MOV
Evaluate Project Success
Project Manager
This is a known-unknown. The source could be both internal or external. The risk emerges from People, Process, and Legal. People is the main cause of this risk. It will impact the schedule and budget both if the scope does not align to the MOV created.
We met with stakeholders to collect all of the possible requirements and all deliverables will be completed with certain specifications to ensure quality, as well as requirement accuracy.
4
Loss of supplier support of WS

Sponsor
This is an unknown-unknown. The source could be internal (Worldwide Sports) or external (any supplier). The risk emerges from People, Organization, Legal, and Products. This will impact budget and schedule if this happens.
This strategy is to be constructed by Worldwide Sports because we are not responsible for any company/supplier relations.
5
Unorganized documentation
Close Project
Project Manager, Analyst
This is a known-unknown. The source is only internal because only we handle our own documents. The risk emerges from People, Organization, and Process. This will impact our schedule the most, it could also add cost to the budget.
Throughout the project, we will make sure all documents are kept organized and each deliverable and milestone is documented correctly.
